A listings plan gives an organiser the ability to list events on the site up to the plan limit with no need to pay each time a listing needs adding or updating. Add your event details to get started - just register here.
Plans give organisers a lot more flexibility if they are not promoting their events all year round - once an event has taken place this frees up space in the plan. Promote Event A for 6 months then Event B for 6 months; or Event A for 4 months then Event B for 8 months.
We were aware of TimeOutdoors but hadn't considered premium listings before seeing their proposal. The set up was easy and we had a very good response to our first event - as a result we now have premium listings for several other events.

Do I need a Local or National listing?
Showcase your event to a regional audience with a local listing or reach a bigger audience with a national listing.
How many races are included in the cost?
Premium listings include unlimited races so an event with a fun run, 10K, half marathon, marathon and ultra will have an overall event page and 5 race pages, each one with its own visitors and clicks.
Do I get any stats?
Yes. In MyTOD you can see views, visitors and clicks for the last 12 months - and you can see this for all of your events or for a specific event.
Can I update my own event?
Yes. We do the initial setup work for you but you can login to MyTOD at any time to make changes.

Premium event listing
Premium listings include unlimited races with the event and each race having it's own unique page (or url). This means that one event will have multiple pages on our website - significantly increasing the event's coverage. For example, an event with a fun run, half marathon and marathon will have 4 unique pages:
Event listing - featured in the Events and Runs sections with key event details and links to each of the 3 races
Fun run listing - featured in the Fun runs section with key event details plus fun run details
Half marathon listing - featured in the Half marathons section with key event details plus half marathon details
Marathon listing - featured in the Marathons section with key event details plus marathon details
Although event and race listings are extremely comprehensive, they are very easy to navigate. Each listing provides the full event details plus relevant race details and multiple links to the event's online entry system. Details include:
Hero photo - full screen high-res photo to capture the essence of the event/race
Race list (event listing) - a mobile-friendly carousel with details of and links to all races at the event
Race location (race listing) - to show people exactly where the race starts and the route (if GPX uploaded)
Overview - the 'big picture' event overview including highlights
Event photos - a mobile-friendly gallery of high-res photos of the event
Event video - a YouTube or Vimeo-hosted video of the event
Event details - the nitty-gritty details of the event
Location - the full Race HQ address with details of parking and links to Google maps and What3Words
Route - full route details & description
What's included - details of everything included before/on/after race day

Our audience
Our audience is generated from organic search, social media, people taking part in our challenges and people using our own social media platform with no bought-in data - which makes it 100% authentic.
2.5+ million visits
Last year we attracted over 2.5 million visits and achieved an average bounce rate of only 28%, showing that our site inspires visitors to explore more pages.
150,000+ newsletter subscribers
We have over 150,000 opted-in newsletter subscribers and this is increasing by up to 700 people a day. We have an excellent domain reputation with major email companies and consequently achieve high delivery rates.
UK, adult & mobile
Predominantly UK-based adults, our audience is very active - nearly 90% of them are active at least once a week and most are doing something 2-3 times a week.
The majority are aged 25-55; 10% of visitors are aged 18-24 and 10% over 55. 45% male v 55% female.
Super-fast website
We have invested heavily in creating a visually engaging site that remains fast and is fully-response for all mobile devices. When tested on industry-standard tool GTmetrix, our website achieves the highest 'A' rating with a nearly perfect score of 97% for both performance and structure (see below).
Monitoring feedback
To enable monitoring of feedback we add the following utm parameters to all outbound links to your website:
utm_source=TimeOutdoors
utm_medium=listing
utm_campaign=[your event name]
This means that for any links to your website, you will be able to see traffic from TimeOutdoors in Google Analytics or your other analytics software.
To make the user journey simple for people clicking the 'Enter now' button, we can link directly to your online entry platform - so someone clicking 'Enter now' on TimeOutdoors can be taken directly to Active.com (for example) to enter the race without going via your website. As this person is not visiting your website to enter the event, you will NOT see any activity in your Google Analytics account relating to TimeOutdoors. The benefit of this approach is a simpler user journey which should help to increase sign ups - the downside is that the activity is invisible to you.
There are 2 possible solutions to this issue:
First, we automatically log all clicks from the listing to your website and your online entry platform - so our report will provide you with accurate figures for click thru's. Our report provides the following data:
Total views - the total number of times your listing has been viewed on the website
Unique views - the unique number of people who have viewed your listing
Total clicks - the total number of clicks to your website and/or online entry platform
Unique clicks - the unique number of people who have clicked through to your website and/or online entry platform
Conversion rate - the % of people viewing your listing who go on to click through to your website and/or online entry platform
Second, some online entry platforms can create a unique URL which allows you to see which entries have come from different sources. If you create a unique URL for TimeOutdoors, we can use this URL for the 'Enter now' button so that you can track exactly how many sign ups have resulted from your listing.
