A Scarborough based Club for indoor and open water swimmers of all abilities, run by dedicated and experienced volunteers, with sessions for juniors and adults.
Kingfishers Swimming Club is a fully inclusive club catering for all ages from five years old from beginners, regional and national competitors, open water swimmers and those with hidden disabilities.
The Club’s Technique Squad and four stage programme helps children move through learn to swim classes into the junior level sessions, all led by qualified coaches. From there the Development Squad with its own dedicated coaching team supports children to learn advanced swimming techniques with opportunities to compete. Club events include Phillip and Amanda Lee Memorial Gala and Kingfishers Club Championships. Juniors aged 14 to 16 can also get involved in mentoring younger club members.
Kingfishers Masters adult section trains several times a week and members can opt to take part in England Masters events both regionally and nationally. Members have also entered to swim the English Channel and Yorkshire Coast swims.
The Club‘s open water swimming section train at Wyndham Lakes from May to August, with its own experienced coaching and safety team.
