Rotherham's oldest cycling club has three club rides per week, caters for all abilities and always welcomes new riders.
Formed in 1920, Rotherham Wheelers CC is primarily a road cycling club and is the town's oldest cycling club with around 60 members.
We meet for club rides at 09:30am Monday, Wednesday and Saturday in Wickersley. Typically, there are two rides on club ride days, an intermediate ride, normally up to 40 miles at an easy pace and a longer ride of around 60 miles at a slightly brisker pace. Both rides usually include a cafe stop. Regardless of which ride you choose, we cater for all levels of ability and will never leave a rider behind.
Guest riders are always welcome, but we do ask that you join the club after a few trial rides. Membership is open to anyone over 10 years of age, but riders under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult who must themselves be a member of the club.
The club is affiliated to British Cycling, Cycling Time Trials, and the Yorkshire Cycling Federation and members frequently take part in time trial events across the region.
