Overview

Trentham Running Club are based at Trentham Academy and membership of the running club includes use of the Academy facilities including free parking, changing rooms, showers and outdoor running track.

The Club has several training groups to cover all paces from the absolute beginner who has never run before, right through to elite, race winning athletes. Training during the week is at the Trentham Academy every Tuesday and Thursday evenings but groups do meet informally for morning runs from various locations, some road and some trail.  Sunday's provide opportunity for longer runs or races.

Juniors between 8-15 years old are welcome regardless of experience or ability.  Training sessions are led by UK Athletics qualified coaches and whilst the focus is on running, they also include other activities including jumping, throwing, balance, co-ordination and movement.

The Club has a lively social element.  Social gatherings of members may mean a drink in the Man In Space following training, or 'Chip Time Tuesday', an informal chips and chat night on the first Tuesday of the month, or even a social group trip to race around the country and around the world.
