This beautiful 20 mile event is perfect training for runners taking part in a 2025 Spring Marathon or ultra marathon.

The route is on approx 75% tarmac and 25% runnable farm trails. It is undulating (1150ft of overall climb) but there are no ‘big’ hills to tackle. The route starts at Cargilfield School, 45 Gamekeeper’s Road and takes you through Dalmeny Estate then out into the town of South Queensferry and up and over the Forth Road Bridge before heading back to Cramond. Please note that there are no road closures for this event. There will be water stations at miles 5.5, 10.5 and 14.5. You are encouraged to run with your own water carrier and to fill this up. The route will be marked and marshalled. It is a fundraising event for The MS Society Scotland. 800 maximum entries. The event has 3 wave starts: 8.30am for runners who intend to run the route with some walk breaks and may take 4 to 4.5 hours to complete it (please be aware that some marshal points may be unmanned for this wave however the route will still have been marked and no orientation skills are required, just observation skills!). 9am for runners who are aiming between 3-4 hours for completion. 9.30am for runners who are aiming for less than 3 hours completion time. For the first time we’re hosting a Pasta Party the night before!
