Event overview
Experience the wild (and woolly) Romney Marsh, big skies, ancient churches, medieval towns, dykes, contrasted with the massive wind turbines and the powerlines marching towards Dungeness, it's a magical part of the world and this ride goes right through the heart of it.

Starting at the Activ Cycles Ashford store, the ride quickly leaves the town, heading south through the woods at Orlestone and then on to the Royal Military Canal, part of England's defence against a Napoleonic invasion. Look out for the pillboxes, remnants of the canal being reused for WWII defences.
Stop off in Appledore before the route drops to lower ground as you skirt the Isle of Oxney, eventually riding across the rise at Peasmarsh before arriving in Rye.
NCR2 follows the track of the old tramway to Camber—fancy a dip?—before you begin to cross the Romney Marsh proper. Big skies, lonely fields full of sheep, quiet lanes, and isolated churches. It's a magical part of the world, Enjoy!
