Welcome to a great day out! A.K.A the #icelollyrun
A community focused event, ATW St Albans Half Marathon (a.k.a #icelollyrun) aims to raise money for local charities and organisations as well as put on a great day out for all the family, delivered by runners for runners.
Those looking for a challenge can take on the scenic Half Marathon or Walking Half, which takes you on a challenging but rewarding closed-road route through the country lanes of St Albans.
The 5K is open to everyone over 11 and takes you on a route around Verulamium Park. You’ll still experience the great atmosphere we are famous for, and help to support local charities and organisations!
The brand new closed road 10K is open to everyone over the age of 15.
The Family Fun Run is open to all ages however children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult with their own ticket. Please note the Family Fun Run is not chip-timed.
The half marathon is suitable for wheelchair users.
Gather a team of 3 or more colleagues to take on the half marathon or 5K event together whilst fundraising for your chosen charity!
The winning company will get a £250 donation for their chosen charity.
Entrants of the SA LAW Challenge will receive an exclusive wristband to enter the SA Law Challenge Zone! It will have the best view of the start and finish line, as well as private toilets, outdoor seating and garden games to keep you entertained.
This is a great opportunity to raise money for your chosen charity, and create an active workforce. Colleagues can train together and those not running can help to fundraise. Plus, take advantage of promotional opportunities through local news and advertising via the website.
Complete a mile a day, then once you've ran the Fun Run you will have completed your own half marathon! Plus win an award too.
There are three spectator viewing places along the route. There's also lots of space along the finish line for your family to cheer you on from. The best view of the start/finish line will be from the VIP garden. You can buy spectator VIP passes too.

It's an annual event for us and we always love the atmosphere. Rav D
First time I've done the St Albans half marathon in almost 20 years and I absolutely loved it! The atmosphere was great, the marshals were helpful and supportive and there were plenty of water stations. I felt it was well organised and the course was really beautiful in places. There's no getting around the fact that it's a testing course but if you're up for the challenge it's a fantastic event to be part of. Highly recommend x Georgie R
The best race ever, the team ATW was amazing on every aspect, I would run this race again, and again, and again...Well done, guys! Gabriel P
