An awesome day out for the whole family!
Start the summer with this flat, fast and chip-timed event that is sure-fire guaranteed to give you the best chance of a PB in the 10K.
Kick start the day with a free family fun run, for all ages and a fun warm up by the Circuit Society.
The single lap course starts and finishes in Highfield Park and runs out along the flat and tree-lined disused railway line called the Alban Way, towards Hatfield before making a loop via Sleapshyde and returning along the Alban Way. The route is on tarmac, with a grass finish field, and most of the course is traffic-free.

Great set-up and relatively flat route. I’ve done this summer 10k three years in a row now because it’s that good! Isabella A
Once again this event was fantastic. The finish/start area was like a mini event village and even had live music which made it a fun environment. Run course was well directed, some slightly narrow areas but this wasn’t an issue once everyone spread out after about 1km. Will be back next year! Frankie D
A really fun event and really well organised! Suitable for those wanting to go fast and those that want to have a chilled fun time doing it! The after race snacks, singers and vibe was really great - loved it π Sophia C
Well organised event, really enjoyed it and thanks to all the volunteers, much appreciated. Alan S
Definitely I will recommend to all my friends! Mariana P
Lovely event and course. Great marshals and friendly atmosphere. Will return π Neil G
Excellent course mostly covered by trees along the Albans way with good protection from the sun and heat! Looking forward to running next event here. Bright T
This is always a great race. As always the amazing ATW staff and volunteers make this race. It’s a lovely course, you do need to be aware it’s on a public walkway so you get other runners, walkers and cyclists. Event village, medals and toilet facilities were great. Patra W
I thought this event was SPECTACULAR!!!! I loved it! I thought the course could have maybe been wider at times but other than that I thought the course was great! Would DEFO come again next year! Antonia J
