Get up. Get out. Get mucky.
A firm fixture in the trail race calendar with special significance for so many of the event's lovely runners.
The Betws-y-coed Trail Challenge is the original Mucky Boots trail event. Since 2013 it has been striving to become the top class trail race it is today and has an enviable reputation; friendly, inclusive, sustainable, runner-focused, and above all else fun and rewarding for everyone taking part - runners, spectators, organisers, marshals and volunteers.
Starting and finishing in the beautiful village of Betws-y-coed - the Gateway to Snowdonia - the spectacular routes take you through Gwydir Forest and up around Llyn Elsi for astounding views.
If you’ve run it before, welcome back. If you haven’t, come and see what the fuss is about.
This event is part of Betws-y-coed Trail Challenge.
Start time for the 5K to be confirmed.

Starting and finishing in the beautiful village of Betws-y-coed - the Gateway to Snowdonia - the spectacular 5K course takes you through the gorgeous Gwydir Forest, offering a genuine evening challenge for trail lovers and the ideal warm-up before the longer races the following day.
In line with the event's desire to be as sustainable as possible, medals will not be given at the finish line, rather a finishers memento that is useful and/or reusable is awarded.
Run Trail Betws in style - race hoodies can be added to your order when entering, pre-ordered here without entering, and there will be a few available for sale on the day at Race HQ. Alongside these, there will also be a selection of Mucky Merch available to order online and samples to try on. This year's racewear colour is navy.
This event is proud to support Help for Heroes.
