Bollihope Carrs

The start is from Bollihope Quarry car park, 3km South West of Frosterley in Weardale, Co. Durham. The races starts west along the river before climbing up rough ground to the summit of Bollihope Carrs, then descending East to the summit of Catterick before a quick descent back to the start. Full FRA Kit is required. Map (provided), compass, whistle, hat, gloves, waterproof jacket with hood and taped seams, waterproof trousers with taped seams. No GPS for navigation. In poor conditions map and compass will be required to follow the route safely. No poles.
