As part of the Dartmouth Triathlon weekend we are offering you a chance to do a 3K, 1500m or 750m swim in the stunning clear water of Blackpool Sands in Devon.

Blackpool Sands is a stunning beach on the Devon Coast just a few miles west of Dartmouth.
There is the rare opportunity to camp at Blackpool Sands on Saturday Night. You can add camping places to your event booking or book nearer the time.
Swimsuit and goggles. Wetsuits are not mandatory but we do recommend them. You should definitely wear a wetsuit if you don’t regularly swim ‘skins’ in open water. Pull buoys are permitted but are not compulsory.
This event is doing its best to minimise its environmental impact. Here are a few of its initiatives:
For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees
New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.
Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A £2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.
Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.
Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.
At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get £5 discount.

Absolutely glorious - the route was the perfect level between challenging and enjoyable, fantastic organisation and great atmosphere. Super welcoming and friendly, ideal for a first timer. I am sadly moving away from Devon but plan on coming back for this next year! Natasha M
This is the second time I’ve swum the Dartmouth swim. Each time it has been well organised, with great volunteers. The organisers have even arranged for the sun to come out. Will be swimming again next year! Finlay M
My debut swim challenge. It was brilliant. Well set up, good communication leading up to the challenge ( not overloaded with emails), well thought out set up on site. Really easy to join in. I enjoyed it so much, I want to repeat it next year🤣🤣 Sarah R

I really appreciate how Sportiva hit the mark just right. Brilliantly organised, to time but without making things complicated! Sportiva always feels very inclusive, positive and lots of prizes to celebrate everyone :) We were obviously lucky with the weather, but having the 3k option was brilliant. Camping was so much fun!! And really added to the enjoyment of the event. T-shirts well organised and good quality. Love that they don’t have a date on them so hopefully can be reused again next year to save waste!
