Roberttown Road Runners are excited to announce a fantastic addition to the Liversedge Half Marathon – the Roberttown 10K!
This new 10K race offers an ideal challenge for runners looking to experience the scenic, rolling hills of Liversedge over a slightly shorter distance. With the same friendly atmosphere and community spirit that the half marathon is known for, the Roberttown 10K promises an enjoyable and rewarding run for participants of all levels. Whether you're testing your speed or just enjoying the journey, this 10K is a brilliant way to join in on race day and make unforgettable memories. Held under UK Athletics Rules. Organised by Roberttown Road Runners, the race is a favourite amongst the running community and famed for its challenging hilly course. The courses have not been officially measured, but the Half comes in at 13.06 Mies and the 10K is 6.20 Miles (9.971 Km). Race HQ and male/female changing is at Roberttown Community Centre, Church Road, Liversedge WF15 7LS. The race is chip timed and starts and finishes at the Commonside, which is a 3-minute walk from the Race HQ. The Commonside is closed to traffic before and after the race. The course is mile marked and water stations are available. This year the memento will be a 'Slate based type medal', or 'Birch wood type medal', with the option to purchase a T-Shirt for additional cost. Qualified first aid assistance will be in attendance as well as a rapid response vehicle. Car parking within the village is available for competitors although it is quite restricted and as such we would ask you to car share where possible. Due to the nature of the course sorry but no wheelchairs allowed.
