MacTuff Really Muddy Fife Scotland

On the day

You are advised to arrive 60-90 minutes before your wave start time, in order to get your race pack, get prepared and ready to run.

Kit

For footwear bring old trainers that you can lace up tight! We have a ‘shoe tree’ of lost shoes next to one of our boggy areas in the top woods. For clothing, we recommend performance fabrics as they do not collect as much water and dry quicker. Avoid cotton where possible as this soaks up water and becomes very cold and heavy as a result. 

Bring spare clothes, wet cloths and towels for cleaning as you will be getting wet and muddy. Bring money and card for refreshments and other potential merchandise purchases.

Challenge not race

No, it is a challenge. Everyone goes around the course at their own pace, completing obstacles that they feel comfortable completing.

Dogs

Dogs are not allowed on site.

Changing

There are segregated male and female changing areas, but these are very basic and there are no wash/shower facilities. You should bring with you spare bottles of water and wet wipes to get yourself simply clean, and towels and spare clothes to get yourself warm and dry.

Parking

This event prides itself on keeping costs to the absolute minimum and avoid hidden charges that many events levy onto participants and their spectators once they have signed up. Hence always endeavours to have free parking, or included in the ticket price that you have paid for.
