Take in some iconic views of the Queen Elizabeth statue, JFK Memorial, Magna Carta landmark, Old Windsor and the Old Windsor Lock.
The race will start on the River Thames right next to the Wraysbury Skiff and Boating Club.
It's a lapped course on one of the most scenic parts of the River Thames and it's all completely 'runnable' along a lovely stretch of the Thames Path trail.
The course is extremely well marked so you won't lost and there will be marshals at the key points. All runners will receive a bespoke Magna Carta finishers medal, and prizes awarded too.
The Runnymede area was beautiful and gave me the opportunity to visit the monuments opposite the finish.
This event is part of Magna Carta Spring.
The registration for the half / marathon will be hosted at the Wraysbury Skiff & Punting Club HQ, Riverside, Egham, TW20 0AA.
There will be a 5-minute Health and Safety briefing that will take place before the start of each race, so please get to the start in time to attend.
The recommendation is road shoes.

There is an allocated car parking facility located at the Runnymede Pleasure Grounds, Windsor Road, Egham, Surrey, TW20 0AE. This will be available for all runners taking part and any spectators that want to support their runners too. The ANPR car parking facility is a paid parking facility which costs £6.00 for all day car parking. There are 352 parking spaces available so plenty for spectators to use too.
There are frequent trains running form London to Staines and to Old Windsor Train Station. From either of these stations it’s a short walk to the Race HQ at the Wraysbury Skiff Club.
The course is really flat and fast and is run along the Thames Path out-and-back sections.
Both the turnaround points near Staines Bridge and the Old Windsor Lock will be well marked and fully marshalled.
The check points at Old Windsor Lock and at the start and finish will be very well stocked.
You will be able to use music players for this event as there are no traffic sections at all, but please be mindful of other trail users and your fellow runners that might want to pass you. Runners are encouraged to use the Aftershokz over ear bone conduction ear phones so you can hear marshals and other runners trying to pass you.

The course was along well established river paths by the Thames. It was one small out and back lap then two of a larger out and back. The trails were very well established, only a tiny muddy section which was easy to navigate. Parking was right next to the start for a small fee. Bib collection and toilets were easy to find and access.
You would not realise the outstanding achievements of the race director as he was so down to earth. He has done over 400 marathons and I’ve since come across his name in running books I have read. He and his girlfriend even helped me out by looking after my dog Bailey so I could run as I came from Hereford, but really wanted the impressive Magna Carta medal!
It was a small, but lovely event, with a rock choir to see us off at the start, lovely atmosphere. There was no pressure at all and one man called Nile walked the entire alternative option of the marathon, within the generous cut off. It was nice to mix with the runners from the other distances.
The Runnymede area was beautiful and gave me the opportunity to visit the monuments opposite the finish, easily as a memorable warm down. A lovely little National Trust cafe too, nearby where you can sit and admire the beautiful countryside the course is set in. I will definitely return. Debbie Davies, 2023
