Cruising and carving over and around Cheddar Gorge, Crook Peak, Black Down and Rowberrow Warren will make for an amazing route that will leave you wanting more. Limestone rock gardens, flowing single tracks, wide open hill top trails with stunning views and cracking forest trails show you the best the Mendips has to offer.
Enjoy a fantastic mountain biking experience exploring the stunning Mendip Hills National Landscape!
The Mendip Murmuration is now firmly cemented as one of the three Somerset based off-road cycling events now known as “The Triple’.
This event has developed a fantastic working relationship with The National Trust and The Mendip Hills National Landscape service to make this great mountain biking event part of the ‘Top of the Gorge’ Adventure Weekend’.
Make a weekend of it and add camping to your booking.

£2 per car.
Parking is £2/car which goes direct to the farmer. The parking goes towards continual upgrades to the event and festival, new gates and access routes, and he kindly moves his livestock from his land which forms a large proportion of the route. Please have cash ready when you arrive.
This year the hosts, Warren Farm, is offering a ‘rustic’ camping option for the event weekend only.
The Mendip Hills is a fantastic place to ride but it doesn’t have the extensive network of trails like Exmoor National Park or the Quantock Hills.
All riders will ride the main 20-mile loop, there will be an extra 7.5-mile loop that leaves from the main loop halfway point. You’ll have the choice of riding the extra loop once or twice for 27.5 or 35-mile options.
Public rights of way do not have the same public access for organised events and landowner permission needs to be sought. This event works closely with Natural England to develop routes that minimise the impact on the sensitive landscapes used. To give you the best experience it concentrates on putting together 20 really good miles of fun and an extra 10-15 miles on additional loops on the Mendip Hills, Exmoor and the Quantock Hills. Each event will still have the ‘Miles Tea Stop’ at roughly halfway on the main loop to keep you fuelled and ready to pedal more miles.
Not only do you get to challenge yourself in this truly stunning environment, you get:
Please note that finisher momentos need to be purchased separately as they are not included in the entry price.
All under 18’s must be accompanied by a supervising rider over the age of 18.

Supreme atmosphere amongst fellow riders and the course / event crew. Big thank you from me to all involved…I particularly love how riding this event enables me to experience a landscape that I know really well from numerous new angles. Some really memorable experience gained from this excellent event. Relaxing & refreshing in a deck chair afterwards was great also. Jon W
Very well organized and the volunteers did a fantastic job. Route was very well marked and GPX file accurate. Stunning views but, my word, those hills were hard. A great day out and challenge. Sam C
Wicked event. The Mendip Murmuration gave a great route, some challenging climbs and great fast descents! Unfortunately had a rather large mechanical with a rock and couldn’t have had more helpful offers from the marshalls and other riders! It’s what the community is about. No ego’s, no pressure just like-minded people have a good time in some great landscape! Well worth the drive from South Wales. Gavin C
Great event, one of the best run events I've attended. It was well signed with great refreshments and facilities. The route was a lot of fun with great views. Ed P
Excellent camping village and starting arena. Plenty of good food on offer. Excellent turn out 230 + bikers of all ages and abilities. Epic riders and organisers. Thank you. Alistair C
