Sportiva Events will be working closely with Plymouth Tri Club and the team at Mount Edgecumbe to deliver a fantastic event at an amazing venue that’s just a short ferry ride from the centre of Plymouth.
The sea swim, exceptionally sheltered with land on both sides and feels more like a lake swim.
The tough bike is on rolling roads but with some stunning sea views along the way.
The final traffic free runs, based on a 5K lap, are within the grounds of Mount Edgcumbe and include some great coastal paths.
New for 2024 is the Plymouth Swim, in the sheltered waters of Barn Pool Beach.
It’s a stunning location in the heart of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park and just a short ferry ride from Plymouth. There will be three distances on offer; 750m (1 lap) 1500m (1 lap) and 3K (2 laps).
This event is part of Plymouth Triathlon & Plymouth Swim.

There is plenty of paid for parking within easy reach of event HQ.
By Ferry, the event is working with the Plymouth Boat Trips company to provide a short ferry ride to the race site from Plymouth. The trip across the water takes just 8 minutes and an early service will be put on for competitors, spectators and marshals to get across.
Sportiva Events is doing its best to minimise the environmental impact of this event. Here are a few of their initiatives:
For all events which include a t-shirt, there is the option to plant a tree instead through a partnership with Treesnottees
New paper cups have been sourced to be fully recycled back into high-grade paper.
Lots of competitors are not interested in finishers' medals so they are now optional. A £2 charity donation is made for every medal not selected.
Swim hats are provided for open water swimming events as they help the water safety teams keep track of swimmers. However for all pool events, swim hats are now on request to reduce wastage.
Reusable zip ties are used and all rubbish is sorted for recycling after the event.
At the Burrator 10K running race those who commit to walking or cycling to the event get £5 discount.
