Pontypool 10K Home Run

An excellent benchmark event for the year, whether you’re a seasoned athlete, just getting back into running or a total newbie! This scenic route has everything; first it takes you downhill, and then a flat fast  stretch out to Mamhilad before you have a short (ish) climb to bring you back onto the picturesque Monmouthshire and Brecon canal towpath. The last mile is undulating, before you come back into the gorgeous setting of Pontypool Park and the slight uphill to the welcoming finish line. We will also be hosting a 2km run for the little ones to join in the fun. The annual 2k Family Fun Run takes place just after the start of the 10km race and showcases some of Pontypool park's best features including; the bandstand, the pond, the clock, the orchard and the maze. Pushchairs are allowed so the whole family can join in. (Please note that children under 8 years old must be accompanied by an adult throughout the run) All entrants will receive a medal!
