The Brownlee Foundation is proud to be leading the Ripon Triathlon Festival this year for athletes of all abilities!
Itβs about doing everything we can to encourage as many people as possible to travel here to experience the magnificent countryside and also to help triathlon maintain a really strong presence in the north of England.

There are Sprint, Standard and Middle Distance Triathlons/Aquabikes, open-water swims and a range of children's races too.
You can expect an exceptionally well-organised race with friendly and encouraging marshals along the route.
The spacious venue is the scenic Ripon Racecourse, ideal for a large-scale multi-sports festival for outdoor lovers and their families. It is nestled alongside the nature reserve and canal with its network of trail paths, and also the city of Ripon with views of the cathedral.

Saturday will host the fantastic Junior races - with events for juniors between 8-18 years. Join us for the only junior open-water swim race in the North of England.
Sunday will see Adult races take place including sprint and Olympic distances, and individual, relay and aquabike formats.
The venue and facilities are suitable for wheelchair users.
Dogs on leads are allowed at the racecourse venue.
You should assume that you will be required to wear a wetsuit at this event. Wetsuits are mandatory for juniors/youth.

The Olympic Distance Triathlon, also commonly referred to as the Standard Distance Triathlon, is a multi-sport race that consists of three continuous and sequential endurance disciplines. It's one of the most popular distances within the sport of triathlon, catering to both amateur and professional athletes.
All participants (except swim-only) require a British Triathlon license:
There is an option to make a charitable donation to The Brownlee Foundation when entering.
This is optional and would help inspire children from all backgrounds to enjoy sport, encourage them to lead active lifestyles and benefit from the opportunities sport provides.

Really positive atmosphere and great for a 1st time triathlon. Photos were excellent and run route picturesque.
Everyone - staff and competitors was super friendly. Finish line announcer was a nice touch. Event photos excellent - as were the sports massages.
Great venue and facilities. Enjoyed swim, bike and run routes. Very friendly inclusive atmosphere. Great goodie bag.
