Event overview
The Robin Hood Half Marathon is the largest charity fundraising event in the city, raising over Β£450,000 for charity in 2019.
The course itself is great for both seasoned runners and beginners alike - for beginners, whose key objective is to complete the course, to more regular long distance event runners, looking to beat their personal best time. It is a single lap, 13.1 mile (21.1km) traffic-free course. The race starts and finishes in Victoria Embankment and is undulating, so it's not all flat. There are a couple of inclines at the start of the route, whilst your legs are more up for it (miles 2, 4 and 6).
A picturesque route takes you along Victoria Embankment, River Trent, past Nottingham Castle, near the Robin Hood Statue, through the Nottingham Park Estate and through Wollaton Park where you're bound to spot some deer roaming. Finishing on Victoria Embankment Recreation Ground next to the River Trent.
You don't have to raise money for charity but hope that most of you do.
