Ferry Meadows is one of the largest country parks in the region.
Situated less than three miles from Peterborough City Centre at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it a favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.
There is a 6-hour event starting at 9am or a 4-hour event starting at 11am. Run as far as you can during the time, plus a little bit more if you're lucky. As long as you leave Base Camp by 5:59:59 you get to run another lap! Rest between laps then head out for more.
The 5.3K lap through the forest consists of gravel footpaths and some grassy areas - so a true multi-terrain course.
You may be completing your first official 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even Ultra Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th event!
With next to no navigation, no special kit requirements, an aid station every lap and straightforward logistics - this is ideal for going further than ever before.
There will be a bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the 'green' lucky dip option, you will choose from a selection of previous medals.
This event is part of Run for Cake.
A team discount may be available depending on numbers - simply get in touch for details.
Dogs on leads are usually allowed at the venue, but they are not allowed to run with you.

The terrain consists of country park footpaths and grass areas. The suggestion is to wear road trainers, but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trail shoes if you have them but they are not essential.
You can expect well-stocked aid stations every 5km to 10km, depending on your chosen distance and these include crisps, chocolate, bananas etc.
6 hours.
This event is taking steps to be more sustainable:
Runners can buy a reuseable cup at the event.
Car sharing is actively encouraged.
Runners often have the choice between a bespoke medal for this event specifically, or a 'lucky dip medal' which is a scheme to help use up medals from other races to prevent them going to landfill.
