This race is supported with some truly wonderful running folk and is filled with racing delight.
Once again, this exciting event will be organised in conjunction with the Peasmarsh Memorial Hall Committee to help raise funds for the Village Hall.
The race will still be the same challenging and scenic course on the quiet country lanes surrounding the pretty village of Peasmarsh, just outside of Rye in East Sussex. The race has always received superlative reviews and with two wonderful race options to choose from, how can you resist?!
Whichever distance you choose, you're sure to be delighted!
This event is part of Rye 10 & 5 Mile.

The start and finish is at Jempsons Supermarket, which is in the village of Peasmarsh, approximately 4 miles outside of Rye. There will be ample on site parking for those wishing to drive to the event.
The nearest train station is Rye (Sussex), which is served by Southern Trains from Ashford International, Brighton and Hastings. You will need to cycle or take a taxi from the station to the race start as there is no bus service operating to Peasmarsh on Sundays. Please pre-booking a taxi service as they are not always readily available outside the station.
This challenging 10-mile race follows the scenic country lanes around Peasmarsh and Rye. Starting and finishing at Jempsons Supermarket, the race goes out for around 3.5 miles before commencing a 3-mile loop that brings you back to the same point to return the final 3.5 miles to the finish. The course is undulating, with a few challenging hills, but is an accurately measured road race.
The race takes place on open roads and, whilst they are quiet country lanes, they are not closed to cars (except along Tanhouse lane by the start/finish). There are some two-way sections on the route where you will pass other runners so please keep to the left and allow your fellow runners space.
The race takes place on tarmac throughout.
Due to new UKA rules that came into force on 01 April 2024, in the ear and over the ear headphones are no longer permitted at running events unless otherwise stated. Bone conducting headphones are permitted however, if you do choose to wear bone conducting headphones, then we ask that you have the volume turned down low enough to hear the marshal instructions.
This event is doing its best to operate sustainably.
