Paid parking

The parking charge is £3.50 and will cover parking for 2 hours from the start of the race. 

By car

Salcey Forest is between Northampton and Milton Keynes and is accessible from the M1.

By bus

There aren't any train stations nearby, however there are bus stops in Hartwell close to the event venue.

Overview

Following the popularity of the new course, there will be no U turns once again! This new race route exploring some parts of the forest never raced in before and is entirely different from the parkrun route. The race will take you through the flat, mixed-terrain trails within the forest.

Runners will race along the hard-packed trails and with the route being naturally flat with some satisfying straight sections, it is perfect for anyone trying to run a fast time or for anyone new to trail running. During winter, there is a section of course that may become particularly muddy all adding to the fun of the trail.

The course will be well marshalled and follows a 5K route entirely within Salcey Forest with 10K runners completing two laps.

This event is doing its best to work sustainably to ensure that the carbon footprint of the race is kept as low as possible.
