1 hour 30 mintues
This event has a strict maximum cut off time of 1 hour 30 minutes (from when the back of the race crosses the start line) for all participants. The 10K is a serious athletics endurance race which requires a large amount of appropriate training and preparation in order to complete it safely. Therefore participants who do not intend to complete the course within this time limit are discouraged from entering.
Any runner who does not complete the course in 1 hour 30 minutes will not be permitted to complete the race and will not receive a result.
A sweeper bus follows the race at 1 hour 45 minute pace and if you are passed by the sweep bus at any point and for any reason, you will be asked to get onto the bus which will transport you back to the Finish area at the earliest possible opportunity. If you decide to not get onto the sweep bus, your running number is recorded and you are removed from the race, from this point onwards you will be continuing independently of the event and at your own risk. You will be recorded as a DNF within the results of the event.

I enjoyed the course which is predominantly downhill, making this a scenic PB event. Other than the turn around a traffic cone it was highly enjoyable to run along the Scottish coast with good spectator support. Jason R
Excellent course for PB. Good atmosphere. Colin B
Very flat as they advertise and a nice route with plenty of local support all the way along, locals also had a great supply of Haribos if you needed them. Finish area very well organised and nice t shirt, water bottle in a nice box along with a medal. Plenty for supporters to eat and drink at the finish and baggage trucks easy to find and retrieve your stuff. Really enjoyed this one and timing result comes in a few minutes by text once you’ve crossed the line. Neill P
The finish is in front of the grandstand at the racecourse which was really nice. At the end you were presented with your medal plus t-shirt, foil blanket, yoghurt bar, energy drink sachet and a bottle of water. Your bib number included what size of t-shirt you had requested so this should guarantee everyone got the right size. The medal detaches so can be used as a key ring. At the start there was no formal warm up so the atmosphere was a little flat, but pretty good overall. I would happily do this race again. Craig W
