A fantastic ‘South West’ summer challenge taking in the first Minehead section of the famous 630-mile Coastal Path, with an extensive ‘basecamp’ in the shadows of the impressive Dunster Castle.
The 50km loop then heads over Exmoor with ups and downs and some magnificent views with over 1600 metres of climb.
You’ll get full support all the way, with 25km options plus a family-friendly 10K event – along with weekend camping packages and festival style hospitality at basecamp – there’s a South West Coast Ultra Challenge for everyone!
This challenge is part of the UK's number one series of trek and trails runs for a wide range of ages, fitness and experience levels.
Choose your challenge and do it at your pace. The level of support enables you to go further, whilst enjoying the great outdoors, camaraderie, and the challenge. There are marquee rest stops, lots of food and drink, medical and massage teams, with a fully signed route to guide you.
A big finish-line celebration awaits with an amazing sense of achievement and once the aches subside you’ll feel energised, up for more of life’s real challenges – and, maybe, personal horizons redefined.

Starting from the rest stop in Porlock, this magnificent route takes you into Exmoor National Park with amazing views and a climb up to Dunkery Beacon – the highest point on the moor – and then it’s down and back towards Minehead and to the welcome finish line back on the lawns at Dunster basecamp. This is a magnificent route with over 1000 metres of climb – and can be an unforgettable part of a fantastic August weekend by the coast!
