Ready to roll? Don’t miss your chance to explore some of the best gravel trails south of the river.
Just over 110 km, with 65% off-road—yes, that means all sorts of trails, paths, tracks, and the occasional quiet road for a breather. We’re keeping it interesting! We’ll kick things off at the Velodrome with a caffeine boost before setting out.
There’s a well-stocked feed station halfway to keep you going, and when you get back, you’ll be rewarded with beer and pizza at the Velodrome. Because nothing says "you did it" quite like carbs and a cold one
You’ve got two route options, either the 110 km or the 80 km course. The routes split after the feed station, you can decide on the day which challenge to take on.

Starting from Herne Hill Velodrome, the ride heads off down the velodrome's famous Big Bob, before heading out to meet the dirt on Mitcham Common. From there, it's predominately off-road on gravel tracks, bridleways and byways leading the ride into the heart of the Surrey Hills.
The route splits at the feed station near Leatherhead, the longer route explores further afield taking you deep into the Tillingbourne Valley.
Both routes converge at Ashstead Common, then its hoofing it back to the Velodrome for a well-deserved beer and pizza.

Hands down the best off-road sportive I’ve done. Trails I simply didn’t know existed so close to South London. Challenging for seasoned riders but accessible for those new to the discipline. See you there again next year!
