Parking

Competitor car parking will be in the Speech House Field, a 15-acre site directly adjacent to the Speech House and both the start and finish areas. Parking will be under the control of dedicated parking marshals. It is important that you park your vehicle as directed. Parking is at your own risk.

Spectators are encouraged to use other car parks within the Forest of Dean.

Although parking capacity is substantial, to avoid saturating approach roads at critical times, please consider sharing cars if you can!

Description

The race course for the autumn half marathon will be run entirely on forest trails with no road crossings at all! The course will use a number of different trails compared with the spring course.

Forest of Dean

The officially-measured half-marathon course (13 miles 192.5 yards) is run on way-marked trails laid out by the Forestry Commission. Special permission has been given to stage the race over this course.

The course starts and finishes at Speech House. The multi-terrain route will be fully signed and marshalled, and marked by yellow paint on the ground. Mile-markers are provided. The route generally uses well-maintained tracks; it will use a number of new trails and will be slightly hillier than the spring course.

The race will be led by lead cyclists.
