Probably the most iconic of all road race finishes in the UK!
Welcome to the Windsor Womens 10K which forms part of the well-established and much-loved Windsor Half Marathon weekend which is now into its 41st year!
The 10K course starts and finishes along the iconic Long Walk and what a finish it is!
The course itself is undulating and passes through some of the most beautiful countryside. There are two drink stations out on the course and also one at the finish.
What a fabulous event, perfect organisation, beautiful day... Can’t wait till next year! Mandy Taylor
Along the course you will pass the Royal Lodge which was the Queen Mother’s residence and then at around 5.5km you will pass the Statue of Queen Elizabeth II erected in celebration of her Golden Jubilee.
It is then almost all downhill to the finish as you sweep onto the top of the Long Walk with Windsor Castle as the back drop.
2025 details to be confirmed.
For teams of 3 or more.
The Business Challenge helps to:
200 places in the Windsor Womens 10K are specifically reserved for entrants representing business teams.
There is no limit to the number of entrants in each team but a minimum of 3 runners are required to score in the team results.
The event is ideal for inter-branch or inter-departmental challenges – see how head office really matches up against the local branch, Finance against IT, or management vs staff, and of course, businesses are positively encouraged to challenge your competitors to “meet up” on the start line! All businesses are welcome, no matter what the size eg. Hairdressers, Nail Salons, small gyms, etc. As long as you can get three employees together, then you have a team!

The car park itself is free and there are no other costs for entering the site.
The course starts and finishes along the Long Walk with the start being around 190m further up the Long Walk to enable runners to use the Windsor Half Marathon finish.
The course itself is undulating and passes through some of the most beautiful countryside. There are two drink stations out on the course and also one at the finish. Along the course you will pass the Royal Lodge which was the Queen Mother’s residence and is now home to Prince Andrew, the Royal School and then at around 5.5 km you will pass the Statue of Queen Elizabeth II erected in celebration of her Golden Jubilee. It is then almost all downhill to the finish as you sweep onto the top of the Long Walk with Windsor Castle as the back drop.
Roads will open within the Great Park from 1pm onwards.
There will be waste zones after each drinks station on both sides of the road to help try and keep Windsor Great Park clean and tidy.
There is a closed group available only to entrants into the Windsor Womens 10K and is the hub of the community.
This is where you can help each other out, offer feedback and insight whenever possible but please remember to be kind!
Let’s have some fun! Post your successes and your failures, questions and challenges. Support others and seek support when you need it.
There are 3 running training programmes to choose from: Beginner, Intermediate and Improver.
These have been written by Peter Hier and James Thie and are available for download. There's also a very simple Stretching Programme for you.
Every year this event endeavours to produce a unique medal and this year is no different!
The aerobic warm up is always a big favourite; with good music and a great instructor, not only is it a great deal of fun but it really is a good way to get you in the mood and loosen up those joints and muscles. Couple this with a short jog and you will be raring to go!
When you finish your 10K you will walk through the finish funnels where you will be presented with your medal and water. There will be a strong medical presence (as there is out on the course) to ensure that all is well with you.
There will be a Sprite Sprint for 9 years and under which you can enter on the day and is approximately 40 metres and run on the grass alongside the Long Walk.
There will be a variety of free on site entertainment for children including Bouncy Castles and Face Painters.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and age groups.
Why not get some of your friends to enter and run as a Team. You decide on a name and perhaps you might want to come in fancy dress. Just enter as normal and then each of you make sure that you put in the same Team name. Prizes for 1st Team (lowest aggregate time of first 3 runners in the Team). Prize for best Fancy Dress.
Prizes for the 1st Mother/Daughter team to finish in lowest aggregate time, or it could of course be Grandmother and Granddaughter providing the Granddaughter is 15 years of age on or before the day.
You are welcome to run for the headline charity if you wish.
Wellbeing of Women is the health charity saving and changing the lives of women, girls and babies. It is the only UK charity working across all of women’s gynaecological and reproductive health.
Led by women’s voices, we improve health and wellbeing through research, education and campaigns. We imagine a world in which women’s lives are not limited by their gynaecological and reproductive health. Help us make this a reality.

Fabulous race - first time we have done this one and probably one of the best organised and friendly 10Ks we have participated in! Thank you, we will be back! Love the medal. Claire Henderson
Brilliant event, thank you organisers. A special thank you to all the helpers along the route who clapped and said encouraging words to keep a very slow participant going. I hope they realise how a clap and a few words makes all the difference. You even sorted out the weather for us. Thank you again, I suspect I will back again next year. Jenny Livy
What a wonderful morning…. We ladies of Hook Runners had the loveliest time. We got many PBs and a podium place among us, but the best bit was the camaraderie and the fact that 4 of our boys… 2 of our beloved injured and some of our offspring came to cheer… and that sun shone (just enough and just at the right time!) Thanks for a great race. Jackie Wilson
What a fabulous event, perfect organisation, beautiful day! Thank you to the lovely sub 60 pacer. Can’t wait till next year! Mandy Taylor
