A club for juniors and seniors of all abilities with great track and field facilities and often to be seen on training runs in the Dartmoor countryside.
Tavistock Athletic Club caters for all ages 8 years and over and all abilities, with seven different training groups, a coach to 5k programme and qualified coaches to support and advise.
Senior members can compete throughout the year in cross country, road and off-road races and track and field events. Some have represented Devon and the South West in national events. During the spring and summer, the club competes in the Devon Open Series, a track and field league which includes other clubs in the County.
The Club organises several events through the year including the Tavistock Town Relays, Tavy 5k and participates in the organisation of the Dartmoor Fell Race Series.
There is an thriving Junior section which aims to nurture talent and fun. All sessions are led by a qualified UKA coach.
