Event overview

The Scott Sports Dirty Dozen (now in it's 12th year) is a one of a kind trail running event around Cannock Chase. No other events in the area (other than our own Trail Half Marathon maybe) use anything like the kind of trails we include in the course. This is a "real" trail running experience! What's the event all about? Quite simply it's a proper trail running event. We're really lucky to have Cannock Chase on our doorstep and we think think it's the perfect location for trail running. We've got lots of hills (up and down), hard stone tracks, muddy single track sections and the "Ditch Of Doom" water section (dry route round for those made of sugar). The course we put together includes bits of everything whilst also taking runners off the beaten track. Don't expect any walls to climb over or barbed wire to go under. No boring grass farmers fields…. This is a "Trail Run" we use one of the best and most beautiful areas in the country filled with fantastic natural trails that make the area such a destination site. Expect to be tested, pushed to the limit but above all else expect to enjoy yourself. NEW FOR 2025 - Following feedback from competitors we've made the event medal optional. If you'd like a medal then simply add "medal" during your entry. If not then leave it out and you'll save a few quid.
