The Annapurna Circuit is one of the greatest treks in Nepal, if not the world. This classic circuit trek is an incredibly varied and extraordinarily beautiful journey. Dramatic deep gorges, bleak high mountain passes, Buddhist temples, picturesque farming villages and all the major mountains of the Annapurna Massif.
The trek begins with crossing and re-crossing the gorge carved by the Marshyangdi River on suspension bridges before you reach Manang, the largest village on the route. An acclimatisation day is taken here to prepare for crossing the Thorung La pass which is the highest point of the trek at 5416m. From there you descend progressively with plenty of up and down along the way until you reach Jomsom. End the trip with a spectacular mountain flight to Pokhara and then a second flight on to Kathmandu.
Navigate the high altitude Thorung La pass, at 5416m above sea level.
Enjoy sublime views of the Annapurna massif, 8000m giants of the Himalaya.
Trek through the breathtaking scenery of the Kali Gandaki valley.

As the path grows more rugged and winding, visit the villages of Karte and Dharepani before reaching Bagarchap, a Bhotia village.
Climb through forests of pine and oak, passing the village of Dhanakyu, following a rock strewn path along a gorge in the Marshyangdi valley. Continue through cultivated fields and farmland, passing the village of Bryaga before descending to Manang.
A rest day, to help with acclimatisation to the altitude. Take a short hike, gaining 300m of altitude, before returning to Manang to help grow accustomed to the Himalayan high altitudes.
An initial climb to Tengi, before continuing to ascend past the Marshyangdi valley, following the Jarsang Khola. The change in altitude is marked by the scrub juniper and alpine grasses which line the route. Pass through the small village of Gunsanf at 3960m before following a mountain stream to Letdar.
Leaving the village of Letdar, climbing to a ridge before a descent into the Marshyangdi valley, crossing a stream at the valley floor. A short climb on the opposing bank, as a narrow trail leads to Thorung High Camp.
An early start to commence the crossing of Thorung La, a high mountain pass at 5416m. A steep climb along the trail, which has been used for hundreds of years, before the path flattens on the approach to the pass itself. Enjoy dramatic views over the Kali Gandaki valley and the purple hills of the Mustang. A tough descent from this high point, albeit with sublime views of Dhaulagiri to occupy the mind. Arrive into more grassy and lush terrain, as the trail flattens out along the Jhong Khola valley, arriving in Muktinath
Commence the descent along the Kali Gandaki valley, through arid terrain, passing through Tibetan styled villages en route to the valley floor. Arrive in the large town of Jomsom, on the Kali Gandaki river to spend the night.

Everything went perfect from the very first interaction with the account person in the office, till arrival in Kathmandu, meeting with the guides, as well as during the trekking. We’ve had the best & joyful team of guides & porters, who’ve taken very good care of our needs.
During the trek they also proved very flexible with the small itinerary changes we requested, which added even more satisfaction to our trip. | Tamara
I recently completed the Annapurna Circuit. It was a beautiful, awe-inspiring trek. Can't speak highly enough about our guide, Phurpu and his team of two porters, Jomjo and Sangbu. Loved their ethos of Caring and Sharing and how supportive (and fun!) they were along the way! It was a small group, we had a great time and felt really well taken care of! | Anne
The UK team were extremely helpful and so too were the small ground team in Kathmandu. Our guide Phurpu and our two porters, Jomjo and Sangbu were a great bunch. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with a smile. Phurpu is clearly a very experienced guide and his whole demeanour was calm, confident, and reassuring. 10 out of 10 for my three new friends! | Arthur
