This unique twist on the classic Everest Base Camp trek takes you beyond the ordinary.

Not only will you trek to this iconic destination, but you’ll spend the night under the stars at 5,364m, surrounded by climbers, guides and support teams preparing for their Everest expeditions.

Begin your adventure in Kathmandu, exploring the city’s UNESCO sites before flying into Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. Follow the Dudh Koshi River to Namche Bazaar, the vibrant hub of the Khumbu, before continuing through Tengboche, Dingboche and Gorak Shep.

Along the way, you’ll experience breathtaking Himalayan views, cultural immersion with Sherpa communities and acclimatization hikes to prepare for the altitude. At Base Camp, you’ll be immersed in the climbers' world, surrounded by the hum of activity at this otherwordly spot.

From here, a scenic flight takes you to Lukla, the starting point of your trek. After exploring the Everest region and spending a night at Base Camp, you’ll return to Kathmandu for a celebratory farewell dinner. Airport transfers are included for a seamless experience.

Itinerary

  • Day 1 | Arrival in Kathmandu

    Welcome to Nepal! Our team will meet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfer you to your hotel in the vibrant Thamel district. Explore the bustling streets, lined with shops, cafés and colourful prayer flags. In the evening, join your guide and fellow trekkers for a welcome dinner, where you’ll receive a briefing about the adventure ahead.

  • Day 2 | Explore Kathmandu

    Dive into the rich history and culture of Kathmandu with a guided tour of its UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Visit the iconic Boudhanath Stupa, the sacred Pashupatinath Temple and the historic Kathmandu Durbar Square. After the tour, return to your hotel for a pre-trek briefing and gear check, ensuring everything is ready for the journey. 

  • Day 3 | Fly to Lukla and Trek to Phakding

    An early morning flight to Lukla offers spectacular views of the Himalayas. On landing, meet your porters and begin the trek with a gentle hike along the Dudh Koshi River. Pass through picturesque villages, lush forests and prayer wheels before arriving in Phakding for your first night on the trail. 

  • Day 4 | Phakding to Namche Bazaar

    Today’s trek takes us across suspension bridges draped with prayer flags, through pine forests and into Sagarmatha National Park. As we climb, the scenery becomes increasingly dramatic. A highlight of the day is your first glimpse of Everest in the distance. After a challenging ascent, we reach Namche Bazaar, the lively hub of the Khumbu region. 

  • Day 5 | Acclimatisation in Namche Bazaar

    To adjust to the altitude, we’ll take a hike to the Everest View Hotel for breathtaking views of Everest, Ama Dablam and Lhotse. After returning to Namche, the afternoon is yours to explore the town’s markets or relax in one of its many cafés. 

  • Day 6 | Time Out in Namche

    Another day to acclimatise and enjoy Namche. Begin with a hands-on cooking class where you’ll learn to prepare traditional Sherpa dishes. In the afternoon, unwind with a massage—a perfect way to relax your muscles and prepare for the trek ahead. 

  • Day 7 | Namche to Tengboche

    Leaving Namche, the trail offers stunning views of Everest and Ama Dablam. Pass through rhododendron forests and cross the Dudh Koshi River before arriving in Tengboche, home to the region’s largest monastery. Attend an evening prayer ceremony and soak in the serene mountain surroundings. 

  • Day 8 | Tengboche to Dingboche

    Descend through forests to Debuche, then cross the Imja Khola before beginning a steady ascent to Dingboche. Known as the “summer valley,” Dingboche offers incredible views of Ama Dablam and the surrounding peaks. Spend the evening acclimatising and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. 

  • Day 9 | Acclimatisation in Dingboche

    Take a hike to Nangkartshang Hill, a vantage point offering panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse and Ama Dablam. This challenging hike helps your body adjust to the altitude and provides unforgettable vistas. Return to Dingboche for a well-earned rest. 

  • Day 10 | Dingboche to Lobuche

    The trail climbs steadily, passing memorials dedicated to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The landscape becomes more rugged as we approach Lobuche, a small village surrounded by towering peaks. Rest and prepare for the exciting days ahead. 

  • Day 11 | Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Kala Patthar

    We trek from Lobuche to Gorak Shep, the last settlement before Everest Base Camp. After a brief rest, continue to Kala Patthar for a spectacular sunset view of Everest and its neighbouring peaks. Return to Gorak Shep for the night, ready for tomorrow’s adventure. 

  • Day 12 | Gorak Shep to Everest Base Camp

    A short but unforgettable trek takes us to Everest Base Camp. Explore this iconic site, bustling with climbers and their teams during the climbing season. Spend the night in a tented camp, surrounded by the incredible energy of this legendary place. 

  • Day 13 | Everest Base Camp to Pangboche

    After an extraordinary night at Base Camp, begin your descent to Pangboche. The route offers a new perspective on the stunning landscape, with opportunities to reflect on your journey. Pangboche is known for its ancient monastery and welcoming Sherpa community. 

  • Day 14 | Pangboche to Namche Bazaar

    Trek back to Namche Bazaar, passing through Tengboche along the way. Take the opportunity to revisit Tengboche Monastery before descending to Namche, where you can celebrate your achievements and enjoy the comforts of town life. 

  • Day 15 | Namche to Lukla

    The final day of trekking follows the Dudh Koshi River, passing through forests, villages and suspension bridges. Arrive in Lukla for an evening of celebration with your guide and trekking team. 

  • Day 16 | Fly to Kathmandu

    Take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, where you’ll have the rest of the day to relax or explore. In the evening, join the group for a farewell dinner, celebrating the incredible adventure you’ve completed.

  • Day 17 | Departure from Kathmandu

    After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Reflect on the extraordinary journey, from the vibrant streets of Kathmandu to the unforgettable night at Everest Base Camp. Safe travels!
