ACORN Sandhead 10

Sandhead 10 will take place over the last 10 miles of the Mull of Galloway Trail. Starting with a scenic run along the sands of Luce Bay before climbing onto the dunes giving great views across the beach. About 6km in the route crosses onto the quiet back roads leading towards Stranraer. A good time to pick up the pace after those tricky dunes! A couple of farm fields and a woodland descent, and the route joins the Southern Upland Way for a short stretch. Don't confuse the signage, it's a long way across Scotland (If you're interested check out GB Ultras Race Across Scotland!) Into Stranraer with great views over Loch Ryan, and a run along the front, past the old ferry terminal, and the marina. A teasing loop around Agnew Park before finishing down the pier! Finshers will be rewarded with your awesome Acorn Trails goody bag and memories of a great run.
