Event overview

An autumn event at the lovely Bawsey Country Park.

There is a 6-hour event starting at 9am or a 4-hour event starting at 11am. Run as far as you can during the time, plus a little bit more if you're lucky. As long as you leave Base Camp by 5:59:59 you get to run another lap! Rest between laps then head out for more.

The 5.3K lap through the forest consists of gravel footpaths and some grassy areas - so a true multi-terrain course.

You may be completing your first official 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Full Marathon or even Ultra Marathon, or it may be your 100th or 1000th event!

With next to no navigation, no special kit requirements, an aid station every lap and straightforward logistics - this is ideal for going further than ever before.

There will be a bespoke medal for the event, which you will receive at the end of the race. Or if you choose the 'green' lucky dip option, you will choose from a selection of previous medals.

This event is part of Easier Said Than Run.

Overview

The terrain consists of country park footpaths and grass areas. The suggestion is to wear road trainers, but depending on the weather before the event you may want to bring trail shoes if you have them but they are not essential.

Friendly, inclusive, well-organised fun. The medal is an absolute beast! I will definitely run with you again and will recommend you to others too. Stephanie I

First time at a ZigZag event, would recommend them to fellow runners. Adam D

Realy great atmosphere as usual. Susan C

Friendly event for newbies to experienced runners. James W

Yet another great event!! William Y

Superb organisation. Felt like I was with family and friends all round. Nilesh N

Great atmosphere. Darren B

I love this type of event, because of the relaxed atmosphere, I can get very stressed about racing, but this format helps me overcome my battles and still achieve a half marathon distance. Louise B

Fabulous to run without race pressure. The organisers and marshals were so friendly and encouraging. Having a massage later proved a valuable bonus. Really happy with my medal bling. Loved the pic n mix and the cake selection. Helen S

A very well run event with a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Louise P

Great event. Can’t fault the event organisation. I arrived early, and at the wrong time that had been booked (I hadn’t booked myself) and they swapped start times over without any issue. Lisa D

Perfect beginner or winner run. If you want the aim of a race but don't want to be overwhelmed with lots of people, a big crowd and feeling like people are watching, then this is the one - super friendly and I've never been offered such a big slice of cake (at the end) Sara d'A
