Eridge Park 10 Trail Challenge

Tunbridge Wells Harriers are delighted that the Eridge Park 10 Trail Challenge is returning once again in 2024 for a 24th time! The event has regularly been voted in the top races in the UK. The race is reported as "always a favourite of off-road veterans, a few tweaks to the route this year have seen this race rocket to the top of the charts. The route is traffic-free, the views are varied but uniformly captivating, and runners can't get enough of the steep, narrow climbs and copious quantities of mud." This event gives the unique opportunity to run through the estate which is mostly private. Prizes will be awarded to the first three finishers, male and female; first veteran male in M40, M50, M60 and M70; first veteran female in F35, F45, F55; plus prizes for the first male and female teams. This is a privileged and unique chance to run on a traffic-free course over private land through an historic deer park and ancient woodland. With stunning views, your run will take in country estate former carriageways, three beautiful lakes, a Saxon hill fort  topped with a Victorian folly and a number if natural springs. The hilly 10 mile (approximately!) one lap course is on tracks, grass and woodland trails — normally delightfully muddy in places - and some sections are steep, rutted and narrow.
