Pacers

A team of pacers, sponsored by Arla Protein has been organised on behalf of the Jaffa Running Club.

They’ll have flags attached to them with finish times so you can choose the best pace to suit you. It should feel easy in the first half of your race and then step it up in the second leg when your race really starts. If you experience low spells, stay positive and keep moving forward, tough moments pass. Go on, you can do it

The team of pacers on the day will be pacing at 5-minute intervals between 1hr 20mins and 2hrs 30mins.

They’re all very friendly, so feel free to have a chat with them before the event, and be sure to say thanks once you’ve crossed the finish line!

Headphones

You are welcome to use any headphones however bone-conducting headphones (open-ear) are recommended for this event.

Cut off time

Great to have the event back, as always super encouraging marshals all the way round. Start and finish at the home of East Anglian football, Ipswich town football club's Portman Road. Adrian K

Nice course even with the two large hills! Well run with good marshalling and pace keepers etc. JH

Really good course, despite the hill about mile 8. Stunning views over river Orwell Brilliant support along the way. Plenty of water stations with option of electrolytes and gels. Would recommend the event as really well organised. Plus managed to bag a PB! Clare H
