Almost three-quarters (72%) of women in the UK change their outdoor activity routines during winter – and the Let’s Lift the Curfew movement is calling for that to end.

Event overview

It’s Grim Up North have always focussed on empowering and encouraging runners from all parts of society and so this event is incredibly proud to support the ‘Let’s Lift the Curfew’ movement and support women’s running and early in the year there will be a series of 5ks to support the movement.

These evening 5K events are open to both male and female runners and are about empowering women to run, jog or walk in an environment that may be challenging to them in other circumstances.

All runners are to wear hi viz clothing and lights for the events and to enjoy the evening out on the canal.

Proceeds go to Leeds Women Aid.
