As you continue along the Greenway Cycle Path you will have fine views of the Cotswold Countryside and the Gothic Style Midford Castle. Next, you’ll ride past the beautiful Chew Valley Lake before climbing to the top of the Mendips on the Old Bristol Road. A fast descent takes you to the historic town of Wells and its famous cathedral. A flat section over the Somerset levels sets you up for your halfway refreshment stop at the cycle-friendly Sweets Café. Next, ride through Wookey Hole before climbing to the top of the Mendips for the 2nd time. You will then descend through the stunning Cheddar George with its dramatic vertical limescale cliffs as your backdrop before taking on the challenge of Draycott Hill at its 20% segment. Descend through Burrington Combe Gorge before taking on the rolling section back to Warmley Waiting Rooms Cafe. Mostly quiet lanes and roads with easy navigation.
