Tavy 7

Tavistock AC’s long-standing 7-mile road race is on its third course since it was started in the late 1980s. It is now held on Dartmoor on an undulating but fantastically scenic course. It starts at Plaster Down on the western edge of Dartmoor and goes past Pew Tor and the hamlet of Sampford Spiney on its 7-mile route. This year we are again proud to be hosting the Ross Shield, Devon’s oldest running championship (for Devon AA affiliated clubs only). There will be mile markers, two water stations and our infamous tea and cake stall at the start/finish line. The whole race is on narrow tarmac country roads apart from the start/finish itself which is in a field. There is a medal for each finisher and an optional tech T-shirt can ordered at the time of entry.
