Wheelbase Tour de Staveley

Now celebrating its 15th anniversary and with two stunning Lakeland routes to choose from, this friendly non-competitive cycle sportive has a perfect distance to suit you. A homage to the world’s most famous cycle race, the Tour de Staveley is ‘a really social sportive ride with enough challenging terrain to test the most accomplished riders’. Starting from the UK’s largest premier cycle store WHEELBASE in Staveley, both routes take in fabulous Lake District scenery and famous climbs before finishing with the option of a French-themed 2-course dinner, with Vegan option served up by Wilf’s Cafe. Then stay with us and have a few beers while catching all the action from the day’s Tour de France stage, playing on the big screen at Hawkshead Brewery. There are two rides available: Tour of Staveley: 48.5 miles, Le Petit Tour: 28 miles.
