Overview

From the racecourse into the city centre past many ancient buildings and landmarks.

Leaving the start line at York Racecourse, the course winds it's way north, in the direction of the historic centre. After crossing the River Ouse, the route heads down the pedestrianised Coney Street, before passing under the shadow of York Minster.

As the course turns back southwards, you'll pass Cliffords Tower, before once again crossing the Ouse, heading through Rowntree Park, before the final dash for the finish.

Brilliant organisation as usual - so many volunteers, all of whom provided lots of encouragement. The course is superb and even though I've done it three times, I still get a thrill from running through the centre of York and past the Minster. My favourite 10K. David W

This is our second York 10K, everything about the event was organised and executed very well, we have already signed up for next year’s event. Huw F

Excellent Race today for the York 10K from the Parking at the race course to leaving. Brilliant organisation, the start is good and well informed, including warm up. One of the best routes in the running calender, running through the city is such a unique experience. Mike C

As with all the Run for All events, the organisation is superb. The nice thing about this race is that you can park at the racecourse so that part is stress free and super easy. The course is flat and very pretty going through York city centre and by the river Ouse. There is really friendly support right round the entire course and water stations which were very welcome on a red hot day. Jo T

Loved this event.. Good warm up, local radio kept the entertainment in full swing. Angela S
