This festival weekend has the privilege of starting the Richmond Half Marathon and Richmond Marathon inside the beautiful Kew Gardens as well as hosting the Richmond 10K completely within the Royal Botanical Gardens.
As part of the 2012 Olympic legacy pledge, a series of WWF kids and family mile races for over 1,000 kids is held at Old Deer Park.
The events are beginner-friendly and locally organised in Richmond Upon Thames.

This event offers a rare chance to run in the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew - alongside The Palm House, The Pagoda, Kew Palace, Museum No 1, The Temperate House, The Hive and Syon House.
Flat and fast! All on road and path inside Kew Gardens before running along the Thames Towpath. Please expect to run on flat path, road, gravel and grass during the 26.2 miles. The course is flat as a pancake.
The Richmond Marathon starts within the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, running through Hampton Court Palace!
Tour the gardens before passing historical assets including Ham House, Richmond Green, Teddington Lock, Kingston Riverside and the meandering River Thames.
With three famous bridges, a Royal Palace and one famous river this race has been described as the “Worlds most scenic Marathon!” Check out all the amazing landmarks here.
All runners will finish in a music festival in Old Deer Park.
This event has a Full Licence by Run Britain (Licence ID: 2024-47798) and is a London Marathon ‘Good for Age’ & Boston Marathon qualifier.
There will be a water station approximately every 3 miles.
The Richmond Marathon water stations are at 4 miles (water), 8.6 miles (water and Maurten drink), 11.6 miles (water), 14.9 miles (Water and Maurten), 17.5 miles (water), 20.1 miles (water and Maurten), 21.7 miles (water), 24.6 miles (water) and at the finish line.
