Smugglers Run | 5K

It's back and for 2024 we kept the option of a 5k. Possibly the only race started in Kent with a cannon firing. Live music, muskets and real pirates! The 10k route follows the the seafront from Minnis Bay to Reculver, infamous for its smuggling in days gone by. Every finisher will also get a special medal commissioned for the event. This route is suitable for both beginners and more experienced runners! There will be live pirates, parrots and gun crews and our usual fun and friendly atmosphere. Bring the whole family and enjoy this lovely coastal location. As with all of our events we organise, we will be using the very latest chip timing. We will be providing a live feed onto our website for results - so cross the line and your result goes live! There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female,1st Male and Female VET40, 50 and 60 in the 10k and 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in the 5.3k.
