Registrations are now open for the Wedmore 40/30 that brings a burst of colour to the Wedmore roads in September. The annual cycle challenge sees cycling enthusiasts take on a breath-taking 30, 40 or 70 mile course across the spectacular Mendip Hills and Somerset levels, with a fun, family-friendly 12 mile course also available.
Organised by a group of cyclists from Wedmore together with Weston Hospicecare, the event raises funds for the hospice with a share of the registration fee also going to St Mary’s Church in Wedmore. Participants receive a finisher medal on completion, bike maintenance at the start and finish from Grand Tor Cycling, as well as the most amazing complimentary refreshment spread from Somerset Larder. Plus the most spectacular views along the course, and for the 40 mile and 70 mile participants the inclusion of the epic ride up Cheddar Gorge.
