Cranborne Half Marathon

Set around the amazing Cranborne Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, these fantastic races have gorgeous routes and scenery. There’s the brewery on site, along with an artisan bakery that will be serving yummy homemade pizzas along with our normal refreshment providers. We hope to have some entertainment on the Saturday evening for all to enjoy as well. This challenging half-marathon route takes in the third-biggest hill in Dorset, Penbury Knoll, which is sure to give you some breath-taking views across the countryside. It starts with a short section of tarmac through the village before following the Hardy Way up to Pentridge Hill and the Knoll. Then you circle around the fabulous Nature Reserve at Martin Down for some more fabulous views, before heading back towards the finish through some fantastic woodland stretches. The cut-off time for the half-marathon race is 4 hours.
