This magnificent series consists of five fast races taking place on the second Tuesday in April, May, July, August and September.
You can enter each race individually or save money and buy a series entry. The race offers a fast, out and back promenade run using an accurately measured 5K course, ideal for beginners and experienced runners alike.
Please note that due to restoration works along the sea wall the 5K course for July, August and September will be different and will not hold a certificate of accuracy.
This event is part of Gosport 5K Summer Series | Race 5.

For July, August and September: The start will be 600m along the promenade from Bayside Cabin. The course will remain the same for the majority of the race, however, it will now also encompass part of the course used for the Gosport Golden Mile 5K heading up towards the fort and it will not hold a certificate of accuracy.
The Gosport 5K will start from a point close to the Bayside Cabin Cafe and cover an out and back route along the promenade which includes a loop along Lifeboat Lane. The majority of the route is on concrete paths apart from a few metres on a shingle pathway. The route is accurarately measured and fast times are highly likely.
In the ear and over the ear headphones are not permitted.
Bone conducting headphones are permitted however, you are asked to have the volume turned down low enough to hear the marshal instructions.
This event is doing its best to work sustainably to ensure that the carbon footprint of the race is kept as low as possible.
Lovely race. Enthusiastic RD and well marshalled. Fantastic HQ for food and coffee afterwards. Normal route is a quick out and back and the summer 2024 revised route is also great fun. Highly recommend for anyone of all abilities. James C
Really enjoyable friendly race for all the family a 1K for the children and 5K for the adults. Neil B
Loved it Loved it Loved it. Beat my nemesis and got a V60 PB to boot. A gorgeous sunny evening for a seaside burn up with friends... Great to see athletic clubs recognising the course as great training (and PB) opportunities. Looking forward to Race 4. Nick C
A fast and flat 5K in Stokes Bay, which is beautiful on a calm summer's evening! Huge PB potential and excelling event organisation! Also attracts good competition, too! Rob A
I love these events as the weather can be so unpredictable, and if right theres always a chance for a PB. Good turn out of local runners too. Flat and fast course. Martin C
