Cambridge Harriers look forward to welcoming members of other clubs as well as our own, and non-attached runners, to our Bexley clubhouse. The races take place in picturesque undulating woodland and are suitable for those trying cross country running for the first time as well as the more experienced. Although there may be some muddy sections many of the trails in the woods are quite stony; the general consensus is that the course is not suitable for spikes. The start is about 1.5 miles from the clubhouse with most runners jogging between the two as a warm-up/down. Don't worry if you don't know the way, there will be plenty of us there who do. Facilities at the clubhouse include parking, changing rooms, showers, refreshments and licensed bar. If you are looking for a race with chip timing, frequent water stations and medals the size of dinner plates then look elsewhere. But if you fancy trying a traditional race hosted by a local club where little has changed since the 1950s then this could be for you.
