Parking is available onsite and we will cover your parking fee.
Hot & cold snacks and drinks will be available to purchase at the event centre.
There are a number of campsites and B&B options in the area. Red Rock Wild Campsite has just opened right next door to Margam Park making it super convenient!
Every member of the family does every phase together.
A short undulating run to warm you up for the adventure ahead.
The kayaking phase will be around buoys in the lake. There will be plenty of water safety, and there will be support and instruction if required. All kayaks and kayaking equipment is provided. You may want to carry some waterproof trousers in your bag for the kayaking phase, as you will get a wet bottom!
The cycling will be an adventure! Helmets must be worn.
You will be given a map featuring five checkpoints. All you need to do is find them! If you choose to race competitively, there will be time penalties for any checkpoints not found.
Staggered starts between 10.00 and 13:00. You'll find out your start time one week prior to the event.
This event's policy is to ensure that no sign or trace is left of the event having been there. There are recycling facilities during the event to encourage participants to place rubbish in the suitable bins. Lift sharing is encouraged wherever possible.
Bikes can be hired directly from Margam Park Adventure. Please contact them directly to make a booking.
If you’d like to race competitively, you will be given a timing device to record your time.
This is optional for those who would rather not race. Results will be based on those completing the full course first and then based on time second. This means it’s worth aiming to get around the whole course, even if it takes a little longer. There is no time limit.
It was our first adventure race and we both had a lot of fun. I must admit that I got very emotional before we started as this was something that I could do with my young son and we could do it together, it meant the world to me. Anthony Leadbetter
Great fun- friendly and well organised! Brilliant time at my first adventure race and would love to come back for more. Carol Day
Thoroughly enjoyed despite the weather. The mud just added to the experience. Family events are amazing and the way to capture youth inspiration early. Did the world of good for family bonding too. Would enter the next family event now. Kids loved it! Thank you. Robert Llewellyn
Its so lovely to find an event that tailors for families and children that goes further than just running and includes other disciplines. Claire White
My son and I really enjoyed the day despite the weather. He hasn’t stopped talking about it because he came 3rd and he can’t wait for the next one. Thank you. Team ScottLuck
It was my sons first event and I bought it for his six birthday as he is always nagging to come training with me. We both enjoyed it and it was special doing it with him as many events are split into adult and children sessions. Len Williams
