Night Race Series - Cnoc Dubh

Deeside’s notorious Night Race Series. Bogs, ice, holes to fall down in the dark, very disappointing prizes, cafes serving well-earned refreshments (bring some money!), what’s not to like? And this year… We are proud to be sponsored by Out & Back Store in Aberdeen and Norwegian head torch brand Moonlight Mountain Gear. They will be giving a head torch as a prize for the male and female outright winners of the series, which is based on combined time over the 4 races. They are giving up to 20 entrants at each race apart from the first the opportunity to try out one of these head torches for free. Runners will be required to have a good headtorch, and to carry full body cover, a map and compass (just in case they got lost in the woods at night in the middle of winter). A spare torch is also a really good idea.As usual the course will be well marked with reflective canes. If you think you will be coming to the race it would be very helpful if you could register in advance. This is free and does not imply any commitment, but will speed up the registration process. Pay when you collect your number. Pre-registration will give us and the hotel some idea of how many runners there are likely to be.
