Santa Dash

Dress up as a Christmas pudding, stick a turkey hat on or just come along in your running kit and hope not to be called Scrooge! The Santa Dash takes place around the trails of Cammo Nature Reserve in NW Edinburgh. You will run along riverside paths, through fields and around historic buildings. We would suggest either trail shoes or your grippiest trainers depending on the weather in the days leading up to the event as it may either get muddy in places or be frosty! There are some narrow paths, some steps and wee wooden bridges to navigate and therefore this route is not suitable for wheeled options of buggies or frame runners. Our apologies for this as we'd love to offer a route 'for all'. There are 2 distance options to choose from: you can either dash around the 5K or the 10K. Kids over 11 can take part in the 5K and we also offer an Elf dash (approx 1km) for the wee people in your lives. A minimum donation of £1 will go to Young Lives vs Cancer (formally known as CLIC Sargent) plus the event is a collection point for the Edinburgh Food Project so bring along some extra nibbles on the day. Fancy dress is encouraged but not mandatory! Hot chocolate and cookie station at the finish area. Medals for all finishers. Approx 250 participants.
