Get together with friends and family and join in at Roundhay Park, Leeds to Walk for Children.
Walk for Children is for everyone. Choose to walk either 5K or 3K and enjoy the festive event village. There will be activities for all ages - you could try some Christmas crafts, enjoy a hot chocolate or even meet Santa!
While children are at home for the Christmas holidays, they’re cut off from many vital support systems. And without these support systems, they may feel they have no one to turn to. No one to ask those urgent questions; questions like how to feel less lonely or how to cope.
By joining Walk for Children and raising money this December, you can help the NSPCC’s Childline service be ready for every question from children this Christmas.
You'll be sent an NSPCC t-shirt and fundraising pack in the post with everything you need to get started.
Use your online fundraising page to help you reach your £100 target.
Walk your preferred route and enjoy the festive event village for a day of wintery fun! Wrap up warm, dress festive and know that every pound you've raised will help keep more children safe this Christmas.
Walk for Children is for everyone.
Join on your own, with friends, family or furry friends, and take part in a way that works for you.
You can take part any way that feels best for you, whether you're on foot or using a mobility aid.
Your fundraising could help answer urgent calls to Childline from children this Christmas.
There will be a selection of refreshments available at the event, and toilet facilities (including an accessible toilet).
There’ll also be lots of fun and festive activities for all ages to get involved in on the day, including festive crafts, face painting and the opportunity to meet Santa!
Can’t join on 8th December?
If 8th December doesn't work for you, you can still get involved with Walk for Children, virtually! On 21st December, hundreds of people across the UK will plan their own Walk for Children route in their local area. Whatever day you choose - you can make a difference to children this Christmas. Children have so many questions at Christmas – for parents, teachers, Santa, and even Childline.
For children facing abuse, the winter nights are dark, long and lonely. All children need to know that the NSPCC is there for them, even on the darkest nights.
By joining Walk for Children, you'll raise vital funds which will make a difference. Your fundraising could help Childline be there for every child - whenever they need us. With your support, Childline can be ready for every urgent question this Christmas.
This event is ideal for taking part as a team! The team lead booker registers on a team's behalf. If you’re taking part in a group, the sponsorship target is £100 per group, not per individual.
Children are very welcome to take part for free, however they must attend Leeds Walk for Children with an adult over the age of 18.
